I Love My Surname

In looking at Oscar Wilde quotations for an events posting I wrote up for Going.com, I came across the following:
Wisdom comes with winters.
Oscar Wilde
Irish dramatist, novelist, & poet (1854 - 1900)
It shall be adopted as my family motto forthwith.

And now, my favorite depressing Wilde quotation, from A Woman of No Importance, which I came across a few months ago:

Lord Illingworth: All women become like their mothers. That is their tragedy.
Mrs. Allonby: No man does. That is his.

Sad to say, I've only read A Portrait of Dorian Gray and The Importance of Being Earnest and have seen only the film An Ideal Husband. Forthwith, I shall get myself to the library as well.
