Witch Lake Wonders

Imagine me for the next week on my vacation at this lovely lake:
My second cousin Matt is getting married, and this is his side of the family's island where the cermony is taking place. We'll be canoeing over to the pig roast next Saturday, attended by an estimated 200 people.

For the next week, I won't be answering my phone (in fact, I'm not going to bring it). I'll be sunning on the deck as bald eagles fly overhead, hiking to waterfalls, listening to the beautifully lonely cry of loons at night under starlight, canoeing in the morning mist through waterlilies, taking saunas with Finnish soap, piling rocks on top of slippery boulders at the shallowest part of the lake, continuing the family tradition of quoting lines while watching The Vikings, walking barefoot through spaghnum moss, falling asleep while reading on the sunporch's couch, checking out where my uncle's building himself a cabin, and feeding bits of my pasty to seagulls on the wild shores of Lake Superior.
Jealous?
