Party Recap

I had a great time last night, and thanks for inviting me to your little shindig. I definitely took advantage of the loading up part! It's funny (or scary, whichever way you want to swing it), but I actually don't remember going home last night, I just remember being there at the end of the night, and then waking up here at my place this morning. I guess Absolut will do that to you. But hey, it was great seeing you, and I hope I didn't do anything too crazy in my drunken state!

Well, that party was fabulous!!! ... Again, I had so much fun this last weekend!

Thanks a bunch for the party - fun times! I think I left your metromix glass down the hall at your neighbors' place...sorry about that. Hope we didn't leave too big of a mess for you.

thanks for a kick ass party my dear. even if amy fell backwards down the stairs [when trying to moonwalk]. the lap dance was fun!

Thanks again for the great party! Hope the vermouth goes to great use!

Hi Twinters! :) Thanks for inviting me to your party! I had fun and enjoyed meeting your friends.

hey miss t! thanks for being a fabulous hostess on saturday, and a gorgeous one to boot! Things got a little hazy since absinthe was slipped into the pile of ethanol goodness on your counter...lookout for pics later!

As you can see from the exclamation point overload, my party was a rip-roaring success. At one point when things really kicked off, I only knew about half the people there.

Somehow we were sucked into a strange vortex where everyone knew everyone else there: friends of friends of friends tend to have that effect, especially when many of them went to the same university. My friend (the one who drank all my absinthe) knows my my roommate from high school; I know her through an English pal, who knows half a dozen of my other friends. Her friend works with my cousin-in-law; my brother's law school classmate went to grade school with her. Her friend's friend lived on the same dorm floor as my girlfriend, whose boyfriend knew one of their other friends. Does that make sense? Probably not. But then again, neither did a lot of the evening.

The best compliment I had all night came from my sometimes introverted roommate:
"We'll have to have another party again soon!"

The score as I remember it: Everyone at your party, 5 million. Everyone else: 0.

WOOT!

It was probably destiny I wasn't there, wouldn't have known enough people.

As mentioned in my post, I'll be having another gathering sometime in the near future (read: December, before the holidays). This one's theme is "Theresa's friends drinking the left-over booze." Rory, I hope to find you in high spirits and not hungover for this one!
